Alicia's Birthday~

How can New leaves grow if Old leaves don't fall?

This blog is partially dedicated to my friend Alicia.. Why partially? because the whole post is not about her only la!!!! Anyway, it was her birthday celebration last Monday which was held in Bora Bora Asmara.. Even the name sounds bombastic.. and you know what? That place was how IU expected it to be.. As bombastic as its name because the setting and atmosphere of that place was really like Bali and it was a fine dining restaurant.. Enough said...So, being the guy who didn't know how to go to that place as it was situated somewhere only some people will know.. I had to rely on Izyan for directions.. She was very nice though, although I took her around the world, she guided me with full of patience..Thanks..Then we reached that place.. before reaching the restaurant, the journey was a safari ride.. from highways to shopping complexes then back to highways then to some village area and admist the village setting, there stood this restaurant which was quite nice la.. Not that it's a palace but suitable for a mature birthday gathering.Alicia was sitting in a hut accompanied by her brother(Adrian),cousin(Carlos) and Paul... The other people who came were Me, Mei Jean, Izyan and Aminda.. Aminda actually packed little packages containing a candy cane and god knows what she placed inside but It was definitely something I didn't expect from her and now I realise that girls are really sensitive towards small details.. Really.. In chinese we call it as " Sai Sam" in english language, I can't really find a suitable word to describe it but I think the best thing to describe that word is thoughtful.. I don't think guys will have the patience and enthusiasm to wrap little gifts for their friends.. ahahaha.. anyway, Aminda Thanks.. Ermm.. So we ordered our food and Mei Jean ordered exactly the same thing I ordered.. It was funny though, we were sitting next to each other and we ordered the same thing.. If I am not mistaken we ordered "Carribean Grilled Chicken" and dunno what " chocolate.. dunno what bombastic title" as our drinks. Okay, here comes the critics about the food.. Sadly, with such nice atmosphere, the food didn't live up to its expectations.. It wasn't bad nor it was too good.. What I can say is that it is edible and it was above average la.. Anyway, it is not the food I am interested of but able to celebrate my friends Birthday, right? So, I'll just put that aside la.. Oo yeah, we actually got her a converse bag and a t-shirt. Hopefully she liked it.. Then we played Truth or Dare and as usual everyone will choose truth and as usual we will ask each other ridiculous questions.. Even questions like " What do you dislike about each and everyone here" and " Who was your crush?". Ridiculous but funny la.. We had a great time laughing and we were able to know each other better.. Anyway, it is the end of the semester and most probably I won't be seeing these people anymore.So it's kind of sad knowing that you'll be leaving them soon.. Anyway, Mei Jean lost the most followed by Adrian( Really a funny guy.. and sporting too) and of course the whole monkey gang.. hahahaa.. Come to think about it, the game is quite silly.. hehehe.. because we had to exchange animal sounds, cartoon character names and also our names.. but most Importantly it was fun lor.. Oo yeah, then came this group of musicians( I almost typed Magicians.. btw)who came to our table and played Alicia a birthday song.. This was specially requested by Izyan and Aminda.. Ermm.. In conclusion, it was a mature yet childish night we had there and I would like to wish Alicia a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! and thanks for the meal.. or should I say thanks to auntie and uncle? hehhee.. Before I end this post I would like to describe a little bit about Alicia.. Since I didn't 'kenakan' her nicely that day.. Hehe.. it is not as bad as it sounds.. Here goes.. Knowing you for almost 2 years changed my perspective about friends as you have given me a lot of advise on how to handle a friendship and not to forget the things we shared with each other. I think it is something that will make me remember about our friendship.. However, getting to know you was a bittersweet experience.. Let's talk aout the bitter part.. Well, you know that I am not a person who love to procrastinate whenever it comes to assignments and you know that I am perfectionist and of course a person who believes in justice when it comes to job delegation.. So, I hope you'll understand when you read this why many times I have sounded you but since you are a girl I didn't raise my voice as it is not proper for me to talk to a girl in that manner.. Hmm... and btw.. one sentence I would like to give you " A friend will accept his/her friend whoever he/she is.." Hmm.. I am not saying that I actually practice what I have just said all the time but.. it is just a statement for everyone to ponder about.. Well, you favourite word is EMO ,right? hahaha.. try not to use that ler.. because everyone is born with feelings one, right? Ok here comes the sweet part of our friendship, I am never bored when I talk to you and I don't feel uncomfortable voicing out my problems to you eventhough I know you can't solve them.. and yes I really enjoyed our outings.. Haha.. Remember there was once you said " You can be my shopping Partner, Vick.. Because both of us love shopping".. Haha.. that was something I will not forget till today.. anyway, no matter whatever we have encountered, I will always treat you as my friend and of course one of those unforgettable people I have met during college.. Oo yeah, for the next class trip you organise ok? I am really looking forward for it.. Take care and have a safe and blessed Birthday and Christmas..!
