Birthday Celebrations... Two words : Appreciative,Thankfulness...

First of all I want to thank everyone who sms-ed me and those who called me from Australia to wish me a Happy Birthday... You know who you are, the one and only Karamdeep.. hahahah.. I really appreciate your call and I was kinda down that night as the following day alias my birthday was my ENV test.. then suddenly I received a call from this guy and I was perked up.. Not to forget the thoughtful and kind sms-es from people such as Kristine(Mui), Hammy, Jacqueline Mak,Sara Kan,Bernard,Daisy Low,Sean and many many more...

Things got even better when two of the closest people to me in University took the extra mile to make my birthday special this year.. None other than Galvin Wong and Mei Jean.. Thanks for the bag and the laughther we had in Laundry and Santini..It was a double celebration with them.. the first one was between me,Galvin, MJ and Alicia @ The Laundry, The Curve where we had a 'tower' of Long Island... We really had a great time laughing and recalling the funny moments we had in both University and College... Nonetheless, I truly appreciate the company given by these people.. Then Galvin organised another small dinner for me with my university mates @ Santini.. Location was picked by MJ. MJ said the food there was good as she got to know about this restaurant from her friend... The people who came were Steven, His Gf, Sheow Ping, Boey and of course the two masterminds. It was a night of laughther of how funny our uni mates can be.. Ranging from Sheow Ping being the poser and guilty conscious person to Galvin and his wrong statements which he didn't intend to make.. to Mei Jean and her whacky mind.. The night ended with a drink at Starbucks Cafe where I had a tazo tea to relax my mind from all the excitement.. However, I had to continue with my lab report which caused me to sleep at 4.30 am.. Nevertheless, it was worth it.. ;) No regrets...

Another special thing occurred before I went to Santini to join the others for dinner.. My hammy(my gal) actually planned a surprise visit to my house bringing along with her Lynnett and Chee Kien.. These 3 will never fail to make me smile when they are together and I realised that I have many friends who really love and care for me.. I always thought that everyone will forget their friends when they leave school or when you seldom see them.. Not the case for these friends of mine.. I was really touched by their prescence where they actually went to Masjid Jamek(near my old school, St.John's Institution) to buy me a cake and a present and then carry it to my house and surprised me.. Its not the cake and the present that makes me happy but their sincerity which really touched me deep inside... Although I didn't plan to tell this out, but what the heck! they deserve to be acknowledged. Hahahaha.. We took several pictures together and I cut the birthday cake for the second time this year... making another wish... Oo yeah, my gal got me my idol's latest concert album which I planned to buy it during the coming weekend.. but guess what... she got it before I could.. Hahaha..

Aside from these great friends I have.. Another person whom I know will never fail to love and care for me... and she is my mother... Well, this year she asked for my opinion whether to have a party or not as I used to have parties every year during my birthday.. but this year I really wanted to be as quiet and as low profile as possible adding to the fact that I really didn't have the mood to celebrate my birthday massively. Maybe on my 21st, I told her... So, to compromise with me.. she insisted that I celebrated my birthday but in a small scale with my familes and close friends and gf of course XD... So mum, planned this small humble dinner at a restaurant near my place where people other than my family members such as Bernard and my gf attended the dinner.. Thanks to my aunts and my grandma for making it to my dinner and the angpaus.. XD.. O yeah, Bernard got me a Versace Blue Jeans Perfume.. I guess it is an expensive perfume.. judging from the brand Versace.. I really felt reluctant to receive not because I didnt like it.. coz I actually liked it a lot but the fact that my best friend spent a lot for my gift.. just didn't feel right about it.. but he said " We are best friends for 8 years now, you deserve it".. I was silent for a moment there and didn't know what to say as I was really touched by his words.. I just said " Thanks.. but I really feel that you shouldn't spend so much"... Hahahhaa.. I really meant what I said..serriioouuusss!.. hahhhaa.. Mum then surprised me with my favourite cake..an ice cream cake.. I have been wanting an ice cream cake for years.. every year I will ask her to get me an ice cream cake but she will end up getting other cakes for my birthday... but I can't blame her.. Ice cream cakes are kinda troublesome especially when you have to place it in the freezer constantly to keep the cake from melting... but she got me the cake that I wanted... hahhah.. I was really excited ..!!!! guess I won't be getting an ice cream cake next year so I will savour every moment of it... Hahha... This year, she really took a lot of trouble to make my birthday as meaningful as ever.. Maybe she was trying to cheer me up after the major downfall I had a month before.. Nevertheless, I know that she really cares for me and that is what I am going to do in future when I grow up.. I have only one mother and only one parent whom I shall not neglect... O yeah.. she got me an Samsung Omnia.. which is a super cool phone.. but I think I should pay half of the cost... i shall talk to her about it soon... XD.. Since I still have some money left from the salary I earned from Expro..

Earlier today, I went out with Gabriel, Chee Kien and my gf... Me being late as usual was 30 minutes late.. when I reached Pavillion, I and my gf went to Parkson to meet up with the 2 monkeys.. and guess what?! they actually got me a watch.. and haha.. I was thinking to myself.. will there be more surprises to come? :-) Thanks Chee Kien and Gabriel..basically we had our dinner at Wong Kok Char Chan Teng and Lynnett joined us much much later..we also had a great time at Hagen Daaz eating chocolate fondue.. hahha.. it was not cheap but worth it.. after spreading the cost.. it wasn't so expensive after all..

The photos will be posted soon.. but I just want to dedicate my sincerest gratitude to those whom had made it all happen for me this year.. Seriously, I didn't expect anything from anyone but they surprised me instead.. hahhaha.. Well, I have no excuse not to be as equally nice to them now.. hahahahha.. but thanks yeah.. I am really happy this month.. ending my teenage years at the age of 20 was certainly a memorable experience that I will forget in life..

Despite all the happiness, I constantly remind myself that there are more work to come and it is time to work hard now..
